Language Arts 8th Grade
Hello, I am Mrs. Susan Marcinkowski 8th grade Language Arts teacher and Blue Team leader at Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School. This year we will read many short story selections in our Holt Elements of Literature textbook. We will examine the literary concepts of plot, character, setting, poetry, and drama. We will write compare/contrast, narrative, and persuasive essays, as well as, extended response to literature. I hope to pass along to my students a love of literature and the satisfaction of writing an effective essay.
